Sometimes, we come upon hard times. Things don't work out like we had hoped, or what we thought. That is, in essence, the life of a farmer and also the life of me too. I grew up in Lawrence, KS, became a pastor, got married, left the church, got divorced, moved back home, became one of the youngest Mayors in the history of the town and then made some poor choices which cost me all of it. As a result, I spent 7300 hours in a federal prison camp. Now, I'm chasing the American dream all over again - from the dust bowl of my life to the thriving of the farm, welcome to the journey...where better seasons and better days lay ahead.
